If you’re a pet owner looking to give your furry friend relief from separation anxiety, joint pain, or even relieve symptoms of cancer and other pet diseases, it is best to choose organic CBD, to be sure that no pesticides or chemicals have contaminated the cannabis plants. Choose a hemp-derived CBD, not marijuana-derived, as the hemp-derived variation contains trace amounts of THC, is non-psychoactive, and will not impair or harm your pet. Choose a broad spectrum CBD rather than isolate, which contains a medley of over 100 helpful cannabinoids that work together to increase the effects of CBD.
The main differences between our regular CBD oils and our pet oils are the differences in CBD concentrations, and pet-friendly ingredients. Because animals are more sensitive to CBD, resolveCBD Pets is formulated with lower concentrations of CBD: 200mg for smaller animals, and 600mg for larger animals. These pet oils also contain pet-friendly flavours like Wild Alaskan Salmon oil.
We advise to give your pet resolveCBD Pets, specifically formulated for animals. Our human grade CBD oil contains a higher dosage of CBD, which animals are sensitive to. Also, our classic human grade CBD oil contains peppermint oil, which may be harmful for pets.
Just like we do not advise administering human grade CBD oil to your pet, we do not advise taking pet grade CBD oil yourself. Dosages and carrier oils are formulated specifically for pets or humans, depending on the products.
Please consult our pet dosage chart for more information. Recommended dosages are based on your pet’s weight. We recommend to start with a lower dose, monitoring your pet closely for a few days and increasing the dosage incrementally until you see positive results.
CBD is not toxic to dogs or cats. Therefore, they cannot overdose on CBD, not does it produce a psychoactive high (be sure to choose a hemp-derived CBD oil). Be sure that you have chosen the correct CBD oil for your dog or cat, according to their size, and follow our dosage chart for dose recommendations.
Some possible side effects of CBD for dogs or cats may include:
Temporary light headed-ness
Inhibition of drug metabolism
If your dog is experiencing liver issues or is taking any other medications, be sure to consult with your veterinarian before administering CBD, to ensure that it will not react with current medications or inhibit drug metabolism in the liver. You can avoid these potential side effects by following our recommended dosages, starting with a lower dose and slowly increasing until you see a positive effect.
Simply add the CBD pet oil to your furry friend’s favourite food or treat.
